BEACHES

Tzanakia: The beach with the best view on the island! It is  Located just 150 meters from Nisides and viewing the magnificent Castle of Astypalea. It is not an organized beach, so bring with you water and other necessities. Additionally, it is known as a nudist beach.

Livadi: Organized beach, close to Chora of the island. Offers many options for activities, such as water sports, restaurants, cafes, etc.

Agios Konstantinos: it is one of the most beautiful beaches which competes with Tzanaki since it is also overlooking the Castle. There you can spend several pleasant hours as you will find sunbeds-umbrellas for rent, a tavern and a beach bar that works until late. Insider tip: It is ideal to visit Agios Konstantinos when there is no wind.

Steno : Organized beach with sand, trees and shallow waters that make it ideal for families with small children.

Kaminakia : In the western part of the island, this natural harbor will impress most people and will offer moments of relaxation that you will remember for a long time. Beyond the deep crystal waters, you will find tamarisk trees at the edge of the beach, whilst a little further there is a restaurant with a menu that has, among other things, several local products. Insider tip: It is one of the most beautiful but also the most distant beache of the island. The dirt road in some places is tiring and requires patience-attention. Alternatively, access is also possible via a sea route from Pera Gialos.

Vatses : Another distant beach worth the dirt drive as the deep waters and wild scenery will repay you. Indeed, the size of the coast in combination with the mountains surrounding it, offers you the right escape for relaxation and swimming. In recent years, the beach has a beach bar that is worth your stay until sunset.

Ble Limanaki : One of the smallest beaches on the island, a very closed cove near the settlement of Maltezana. Since it  is not organized, you should have taken care of the essentials before arriving there.

Plakes: It is an unorganized beach, where you have the option to choose on your right, the beach with pebbles or on your left, the one with slabs. The clear waters are uniquely combined with the wonderful seabed, so don't forget to take a mask with you!

Psili Ammos: The right beach for those who prefer golden sand and turquoise waters. It is not organized and is suitable when the South wind blows.
